Chief Financial Officer Committee

Provides a venue for hospital financial executives to interact in meaningful, action-based discussion related to current and pending regulation and legislation, and high-level financial policy issues.

Health Informatics and Technology Committee

Provides a platform for discussing policy and legislation on the development and implementation of health information technology to support health informatics.

Healthcare Workforce Coalition

Leads a coordinated effort to develop and implement strategic solutions that address workforce shortages in specified non-nursing allied health professions. Working groups under the coalition include:

  • Imaging Services Workgroup

Hospital-Based Outpatient Clinics Committee

Monitors and advises staff on state and federal legislative and regulatory issues regarding hospital-based clinics, including formulating strategies for educating and improving the public's knowledge of provider-based clinics.

Hospital Quality Committee

Advises the CHA Board regarding quality of patient care and patient-safety issues, transparency, public reporting including (CHART), member needs, policy development, and legislative and regulatory needs.

Human Resources Advisory Council

Reviews and provides input on labor and employment legislation.

Joint Committee on Accreditation & Licensing

Monitors the survey process and all related activities of regulatory, licensing and accreditation bodies for health care systems, and takes steps to affect change to improve the process.

Focuses on formulating legislative and regulatory positions related to managed care.

Payer Relations Committee

Works to resolve issues with government and commercial payers to achieve workable and mutually acceptable practices, and assists in formulating legislative and regulatory positions relative to reimbursement issues.

Public Advocacy Taskforce

Acts as an advisory council to CHA’s statewide Public Advocacy Program, which is designed to help protect hospitals from adverse legislation and policies through public education and coalition building initiatives.
